Why Study at the University of Kansas?

The Philosophy Department is diverse and presents students with a variety of philosophical perspectives. It focuses on three areas: the history of philosophy; metaphysics and theory of knowledge; and social and political philosophy, including ethical theory and applied ethics. Philosophy is a popular undergraduate major and excellent preparation for a wide variety of careers, including law and business.
